Nuts Chan

Nuts Chan on UrbanspoonNut's Chan

Kim really likes this Japanese place. We have been going here for nearly 10 years. Its a small family owned restaurant. It hasn't been updated in a long time. The family is nice and friendly. The food is fresh and tasty.

For Entree's we had Takoyaki. Takoyaki is a wheat batter with octopus in it. Its sweet and kind of juicy

We get this or Nasu Denggaku and that is deep fried eggplant with miso paste. Which we always enjoy.
For our mains I had the Niku-udon and its beef with udon noodles. Normally i get the Bento box which is really great but i thought i would try something different. It was alright. It was a big serving of soup and noodles. The noodles are always cooked perfectly, they never disintegrate and that's always a good thing.

Kim had the Tempura- Udon, it is Noodle soup with vegetable tempura. She seemed to enjoy it a lot. Normally she gets the Nabeyaki-udon, but she was not that hungry.

We always like supporting the local small businesses. So we will always be back sooner or later.

  1. Wow, you're really an adventurous eater. The eggplant sounds great but I just can't bring myself to eat octopus. It's a mental block.

  2. When we were growing up our parents would feed us different things and tell us after we ate it what it was, so i don't really have that feeling. I will eat most things and have tried eating alive insects as well
